        Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about planning your Kenya safari with WildSpot.

        We Have Answers

When is the best time to visit Kenya for a safari?+

Kenya offers wildlife year-round. The Great Wildebeest Migration peaks in the Maasai Mara July–October. The dry seasons (June–October and January–February) provide the best general wildlife viewing. The green season brings fewer crowds, lush landscapes, and excellent birding.

How do I book a safari with WildSpot Kenya?+

Simply use our "Request a Quote" form, send us a WhatsApp message, or email info@wildspot.co.ke. Tell us your travel dates, group size, interests, and budget — we'll send a personalised, no-obligation proposal within 24 hours.

Do you offer fixed-price packages or quotations?+

We provide personalised quotations. Every group is different — size, accommodation preferences, dates, and activities all affect the cost. Our quotes are fully transparent with zero hidden fees.

What payment methods do you accept?+

We accept international bank transfers, M-Pesa (local clients), major credit/debit cards, and PayPal. A 30% deposit confirms your booking, with the balance due 30 days before your start date.

        What is your cancellation policy?+

Cancellations 60+ days before departure: full deposit refund. 30–59 days: 50% deposit refund. Under 30 days: no refund. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance. In genuine emergencies, we always aim to rebook at no extra cost.

Do I need travel insurance for a Kenya safari?+

Yes — we require all guests to hold comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal liability. We can recommend specialist safari travel insurers.

What vaccinations are needed to visit Kenya?+

Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from an endemic country. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended for most safari regions. Consult a travel health clinic 6–8 weeks before departure for current recommendations.

Are your safaris suitable for children?+

Absolutely! We have extensive experience with family safaris. We offer family-friendly camps, shorter game drive schedules for young children, bush education activities, and safety-equipped vehicles. Minimum age typically 5 years.

What vehicles do you use on safari?+

Our fleet consists of customised Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4s with pop-up roof hatches, USB charging ports, cool boxes, and first aid kits. Maximum 6 guests per vehicle ensures an intimate, unobstructed wildlife viewing experience.

Can I request a private or honeymoon safari?+

Yes! We specialise in private safaris for all group sizes including solo travellers and couples. Honeymoon packages include romantic bush dinners, champagne sundowners, and luxury lodge upgrades. Contact us to design your perfect experience.
